Agri Extension System
The Jatropha Cultivation aims to revitalise unwanted land through the cultivation of Jatropha, creating valuable employment and a sustainable source of income for the farming communities.. Jatropha is an oil bearing non-food crop which, when crushed, provides a crude vegetable oil which can be refined into Biodiesel fuel, to be either blended with fossil diesel or used as a 100% replacement. The seedcake is used as an organic fertilizer.
Agri Extension System:
Provides elite bred Jatropha trees and inputs (biofertilisers, bio pesticides etc for 1 Hectare of cultivation of Jatropha with an estimated value of $ 10,000 per Hectare calculated over 10 years.
